The goal of National Passenger Safety Week (Jan. 21-28) is to promote safe driving practices and prevent unsafe ones by empowering passengers to speak up when their lives are in danger due to a reckless driver.

Snow. Icy streets and sidewalks. Fewer daylight hours. Winter can be an especially dangerous time for travelers. That means everyone has to be extra cautious — especially drivers. 

In a dedicated effort to promote the safety of New Jersey residents and visitors during the upcoming holiday season, Attorney General Matthew J. Platkin and the New Jersey Division of Highway Traffic Safety (HTS) announced the kickoff of the annual “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” Year-End Holiday Campaign.
